Join us for a screening of the 1934 hit The Thin Man, starring William Powell and Myna Loy. Based on Dashiell Hammett's classic novel, this Best Picture Oscar nominee follows former detective Nick Charles and his wealthy wife Nora as they investigate a murder case...mostly for the fun of it.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
