Yellow Rose (2020, PG-13) tells the story of Rose, an undocumented 17 year-old Filipina who dreams of one day leaving her small Texas town to pursue a career as country music singer. Her world is shattered when her mother, who works as a housekeeper at a motel, suddenly gets arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Rose is forced to flee, leaving behind the only life she knows. She embarks on a journey of self-discovery as she searches for a new home in the honky tonk world of Austin, Texas. Eva Noblezada gives a stellar performance as Rose, a shy young girl with a powerful voice.
