Description:

The Woman King (2022, PG-13) is the remarkable story of the Agojie, the all-female company of warriors who defended the African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1800s with indomitable fierceness and fighting skills. Inspired by true events, the story takes us on the challenging journey of General Nanisca (Viola Davis) as she trains the next generation of recruits and prepares them to battle an enemy determined to destroy their way of life. It is an action-packed epic of adversity, empowerment, and transcendence.
