Description:

Horror legend Vincent Price gives an unforgettable turn as Roderick Usher in Roger Corman’s classic adaptation of Poe’s 1839 tale. Philip Winthrop is engaged to be married to Madeline Usher, and visits her at the eerie, crumbling family manor deep in a gloomy swamp. Her brother Roderick vehemently opposes Philip’s intentions, being obsessed with the idea that his family is cursed with incurable madness and their bloodline must end. During an argument with Roderick, Madeline, who has been drifting around wan and pale, falls into a cataleptic stupor; Roderick convinces Philip that she has died and seals her in a coffin in the family crypt beneath the house.
