Description:

Join us for our monthly virtual film discussion. This month will be talking about Pygmalion (1938).

Pygmalion is the first English-language film adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s famous play, which was later adapted into the musical My Fair Lady. Professor Henry Higgins (Leslie Howard) bets that he can turn cockney flower seller Eliza Doolittle (Wendy Hiller) into a lady accepted by the upper class of British society. The results of the bet upend both their lives.

You can watch this film for free on Kanopy with your library card. To join the discussion via Zoom, please sign in here to submit your email address. We will send the Zoom link by Tuesday, August 19. We look forward to seeing you there!
