Description:
While working at a hospital, Dr. Jeff Cameron (Robert Mitchum) finds himself falling in love with Margo (Faith Domergue), an emotionally unstable woman who was hospitalized after a suicide attempt. Unsound and deceitful, Margo also has a husband (Claude Rains) of whom Cameron is unaware. When the two men find out about one another, a fight ensues that leads to the death of the husband—though Cameron cannot recall killing him. Now, at Margo's insistence, Cameron must flee to Mexico with her.
