Description:
This crash course will introduce you to basic photography techniques needed to make beautiful images to share with friends and family using a simple digital camera or your own iPhone.
In this introductory workshop, I will talk about different features/modes on cameras (aperture, exposure, focus, depth of field, etc.), differences among DSLR, mirror-less, and point-and-shoot cameras. I will share my professional and personal projects for inspiration. There will be some hands-on activities where students get to use and familiarize with features using digital cameras provided or their personal iPhone. (e.g., how to set aperture for different types of lighting situations and how it can impact their photo, explaining photography terms, etc.)
